Concussion Update: Form & Training Syllabus
Concussion Acknowledgement Form
The UIL has created this Concussion Acknowledgement Form, which will be required for all student athletes in grades 7-12 beginning with the 2012-13 school year, as a result of the passage of HB 2038 from the 2011 legislative session.

Regional Track Meet—Conflict with TAKS testing
The UIL regional track meet scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 27-28, 2012 presents a potential conflict with TAKS testing, including Grade 10 and Exit Level exams.
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has indicated they will work with schools who have students qualify for the regional track meet. TEA has indicated, however, that exceptions will not be considered until students have actually qualified from district to regional competition. Waivers will not be considered prior to the district certification date.
Schools anticipating a possible conflict for their students and the scheduled TAKS tests should promptly discuss the options with coaches and administration and prepare ahead of time.
TEA has more information on their website, in the A-Z Index under the heading: Alternate Test Dates and Modified Scheduling.
As more information becomes available, it will be presented.
